Earth Day Shelton Clean Sweep

Join us and help cleanup litter from upper Commerce Drive by the Land Trust Open Space area and down towards the river (marked on the map loaded in the dicussion area) leading upwards to Huntington Street and if we have enough hands we can cover lower Commerce Drive down to Bridgeport Ave

The City will provide gloves and bags and will pick up the trash bags we fill afterwards. PLUS they’re giving out iron-on patches for those who participate so don’t miss the chance for swag. Feel free to bring a friend or two! It would be awesome to cover the whole street. And if we all feel like it we can grab lunch after.

Meeting Spot: 3 Corporate Drive parking lot looking out towards Commerce Drive — 9:45am so we can split up accordingly

Let us know if you can attend so we can be sure to have enough supplies and swag for everyone!

Earth Day Event

You’re invited to the “Party for the Planet!” Mystic Aquarium is joining more than one billion people from all over the world to celebrate Earth Day! Participate in hands-on activities that will demonstrate just how easily everyday actions can affect our ecosystem and learn how you can help protect our planet. Plus, learn how you can reduce your personal impact on the environment through simple changes in your daily routine.

Then, on April 22, join us at Dodge Paddock in Stonington, CT for our “Party by the Coast.” Talk to marine biologists as you look for Long Island Sound inhabitants and help clean and restore the marsh – all while celebrating our ocean!

Free for Aquarium members and with general admission – April 22 event is free to all who wish to join.
