Back to School Happy Hour w/ CTYP and YEP

Come on out with CTYP and YEP for a happy hour and a back to school supply drive at The Hops Company! We are requesting donations for Valley United Way Back to School Project to benefit children of Mead and Prendergast Elementary Schools. Cash donations are welcomed along with pencils, markers, tissues, hand sanitizer, notebooks, etc. Also, we are seeking clothing such as socks and underwear for the nurse’s closet.
There will be a food truck available to grab some bites during the evening. As always, feel free to approach anyone there; come expecting to meet a lot of new people.

Hiking the Giant Steps

Come and join us for a hike in the highly popular East Rock Park where we will tackle the Giant Steps. Whether you’re a frequent hiker or haven’t hiked in years, you’ll find other CTYP members on this outing to hike and chat at your speed.

This is a light to moderate hike, during which we hope to get in some fresh air, take in the scenery and break a sweat with very little embarrassment. The Giant Steps themselves will be the steepest portion of the hike and can be a short challenge but you may go at your own pace. Expect the ending view to be worth it. Please contact us if you would like to bring a friendly, furry pal along the hike.

We will meet at the front of the red bridge located at the end of the Eli Whitney Museum parking lot. Parking is free.

Make sure to bring water, comfortable clothing, and sunscreen. We hope to see you there!
