Tropical Sunsation

Warm up your February vacation at Mystic Aquarium!

Paradise awaits during Tropical Sunsation week with a staycation that includes live musical entertainment, hula lessons, a beach party, colorful crafts and more. Float along the Main Gallery and warm up to countless tropical fish like the barracuda, blue tang, clownfish and more then cruise on over to Exploration: Wild! where you’ll encounter poison dart frogs, the red-eyed tree frog and even more hoppin’ amphibians.

Join the Young Professionals of Waterbury Region for their 4th Annual CEO Speaker Series: The Past, the Present and Future of Family Business. This final session will feature President of Fascia’s Chocolates Inc., Carmen Romeo.

In 1964 John & Helen Fascia began making candy in their Waterbury, CT home to supplement John’s livelihood as a toolmaker. Fascia’s Chocolates soon became the family’s full time passion and the business had to move out of the house. Through each of the Waterbury locations the business outgrew, Fascia’s has continued to be a destination and tradition for its loyal customers. Fascia’s Chocolates continues to be family owned and operated by the Fascia family. Join President Carmen as he talks about his journey from corporate beginnings to joining the chocolate family business.
