The city of New Haven dedicated a tree in front of City Hall to Connecticut Young Professionals or ‘CTYP’ on June 4th, 2015. The inscription on the plaque reads ‘Connecticut Young Professionals’ and lists the values of ‘Tradition’, ‘Innovation’, and ‘Idealism’. Connecticut Young Professionals has provided the volunteers for several city events, including the city’s ‘Salute to Veterans’ and’Valentine’s Arts Soiree’.
Connecticut Young Professionals is incredibly excited and touched by this great honor. We look forward to continuing to build our relationship with the City of New Haven. We hope to make it and many other cities across the state a great place for young professionals.
Thank you, New Haven.
Connecticut Young Professionals (CTYP) worked with the City of Milford to host a ‘Meet the Mayor’ happy hour at Stone Bridge in Milford, CT. In the first portion of the event, young professionals had a social hour in which they got to meet one another. In the second portion of the event, the young professionals were seated for a conversation between CTYP Board Members, Ani Chaghatzbanian Kelly and Krista Ruggles, and Mayor Ben Blake. During the interview, Mayor Blake spoke about initiatives the city is taking to attract and retain young professionals.
